Hamlet’s Attempt to Pursue Revenge Theatrical plays are usually created to teach the audience a moral or lesson. In William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, there are quite a few lessons. The moral that the play conveys the most is the path of revenge has destructive consequences.Hamlet’s pursues revenge at all cost but the justice he seeks leads to tragedy. Hamlet’s attempt to pursue revenge did not result in justice because it had negative consequences on all the characters involved. To understand the meaning behind a piece of work such as the Theatrical play of Hamlet, the audience can gather a better idea of the cultural and historical context by researching the writer who created the work. While certain aspects of Shakespeare s life are left to speculation, much of his life gives the reader an insight into his writing.
